Weather delay for Flight VS25 with the CSO-2 satellite
Today’s Flight VS25 with the French CSO-2 defense and security satellite has been delayed due to weather conditions involving the risk of non-acceptable high-altitude winds at the scheduled liftoff time from the Spaceport in French Guiana.
The Soyuz launcher and its satellite payload are in stable and safe conditions.
Flight VS25’s soonest possible launch date is tomorrow, December 29, at 1:42:07 p.m. local time in French Guiana (16:42:07 UTC).
CSO-2 is the second satellite of the French Optical Space Component (CSO – Composante Spatiale Optique) program, and will be deployed by Soyuz into a Sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of approximately 480 km.
