Launch update for Vega Flight VV16

The latest weather forecast briefing has allowed Arianespace to begin final chronology operations for Vega Flight VV16 at the Spaceport in French Guiana.

The situation with high-altitude winds above the Guiana Space Center continues to be monitored, as some uncertainty remains. Liftoff time is 10:51 p.m. tonight in French Guiana (01:51 on June 29 UTC). Further information will be provided as soon as available.

Flight VV16 is the Proof of Concept flight for Vega’s rideshare concept, called the Small Spacecraft Mission Service (SSMS), which provides Arianespace flight opportunities for nano- and micro-satellites.
