Arianespace Flight 158, Launch scheduled for February 27, 2004

Kourou, French Guiana, February 26, 2004

On Thursday, February 26 at 4:00 pm (Kourou time), wind conditions at high altitude over the launch center in Kourou, French Guiana, become favorable, as well as predictable.

Under these conditions, Arianespace decided to resume the final countdown operations for Flight 158.

The launch is now scheduled in the morning of Friday, February 27, 2004, at precisely:

Arianespace Flight 158 will launch the Rosetta spacecraft into a trajectory sending it towards a rendezvous with the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko after an interplanetary voyage lasting nearly ten years.
