French Week in Vietnam

Arianespace participated in “French Week in Vietnam” at Hanoi, where a wide variety of French companies highlighted their products for the Vietnamese marketplace. The newly-appointed French Minister of Overseas Trade, Pierre Lellouche, made his first overseas trip to Vietnam in time to inaugurate this exhibition.

Vietnam is one of the few countries to have passed a specific law concerning advanced technologies, and it intends to become one of the first nations in Southeast Asia capable of building observation satellites.

Arianespace launched Vietnam’s first satellite – Vinasat 1 – in 2008, and has been contracted to launch the Vinasat 2 in 2012.
