Arianespace’s traditional Honolulu boat cruise once again served as a highlight of the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) conference, an annual event which brings together members of the service provider community for discussions on the industry’s future.
This year’s PTC conference – the 32nd to date – coincided with Arianespace’s own 30th anniversary, which Chairman and CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall reflected on as he addressed a cross section of industry executives and decision-makers aboard the cruise.
“Over the past three decades, Arianespace has played a proud role in the history of the communications satellite industry,” said Le Gall. “Over that time we have launched nearly every platform to nearly every useful orbit. But I don’t think we have seen it all. Despite tough economic times today, I believe the best is yet to come.”
The Pacific Telecommunications Council is the leading professional organization that promotes the advancement and commercial use of information and communication technologies, services, policies, and knowledge to benefit its members and the people of the Pacific Hemisphere.
