Mission Update
The liftoff of Ariane 5 with Arabsat-5A and COMS is rescheduled for tonight
June 26, 2010 – Ariane Flight 195
The final countdown for Arianespace’s heavy-lift Ariane 5 mission with Arabsat-5A and COMS is on track for a liftoff today from the Spaceport in French Guiana.
Arianespace rescheduled this mission after analyzing an atypical pressurization value that was measured in the Ariane 5’s main cryogenic main stage, which had halted two synchronized countdown sequences on June 24.
The workhorse vehicle has been declared ready for tonight’s mission, which is scheduled during a launch window that runs from 6:41 p.m. to 7:52 p.m. local time in French Guiana.
