Stéphane Israël, Arianespace Chairman and CEO, addresses the company’s partners and operational teams in French Guiana during his New Year’s wishes at the Spaceport.
Israël said Arianespace’s milestone 2014 – which included the highest-ever number of missions from French Guiana with Ariane 5, Soyuz and Vega operating together at the Spaceport – results from the hardworking and dedicated personnel at Arianespace and its partners.
He also outlined the upcoming fast-paced operational schedule in 2015, with plans calling for two Soyuz flights, three Vega launches and up to seven Ariane 5 missions. The year-opening Vega launch to deploy Europe’s Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle (IXV) – scheduled for a February 11 liftoff – is set to kick off this busy year of mission activity.
