Arianespace’s management team met with customers, partners, space agency officials and journalists during its annual Japan Week activities in Tokyo – underscoring the company’s nearly 30-year relationship with this country.

Speaking to journalists, Chairman and CEO Stéphane Israël outlined the full range of solutions offered by Arianespace’s current launch vehicle family – composed of the heavy-lift Ariane 5, medium-lift Soyuz and lightweight Vega, whose competitiveness will be further enhanced by the successor Ariane 6.

Israël also emphasized Arianespace’s long-term commitment to the Japanese and Asia-Pacific markets, which will continue to require reliable and efficient launch services for the region’s growing telecommunications needs, driven by such events as the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

The official Arianespace Japan Week 2015 reception in Tokyo attracted more than 200 attendees, providing a convivial atmosphere to continue friendships that have been developed throughout the company’s nearly three-decade presence.
