Kiyoshi Takamatsu - Japan Representative, Tokyo Office

Kiyoshi TakamatsuKiyoshi Takamatsu is the Japan Representative for Arianespace's Tokyo office.

He is a 1981 graduate from the Institute of Space and Aeronautical Science of the University of Tokyo, with a Master of Engineering degree in structural dynamics of launch vehicles. Before joining Arianespace, Kiyoshi spent 11 years in the aerospace division of Fuji Heavy Industries, where he was a program manager for various space projects.

He joined Arianespace in 1992, starting as a liaison engineer in the Tokyo office. Kiyoshi then served as the Deputy Representative in charge of technical matters and the Japanese market from 1998 until his promotion to the office’s head position in 2008.

The primary responsibility of Arianespace’s Tokyo office is the management of customer relations in Japan, but it also keeps in close contact with Japanese government ministries and agencies, satellite and space industry companies, the space insurance sector, banks, trading companies, etc. In addition, the office assists Arianespace headquarters and the company’s Singapore-based ASEAN office in corporate communications and public relations outreach throughout the Asia-Pacific area.
