Patrick Loire - Vice President, Arianespace in French Guiana
Patrick Loire oversees all Arianespace operations in French Guiana concerning the family of European launch vehicles, as well as the operation and maintenance of the associated launch facilities.
He is also in charge of managing security and quality assurance at the Spaceport launch complex – specifically, the operational processes under Arianespace’s responsibility
In addition, Loire is Arianespace’s legal representative in French Guiana.
A specialist in optronics with a graduate degree in mechanical engineering, Loire started his career by working for five years on the development of periscopes for nuclear submarines.
He joined Arianespace in 1983, focusing on launcher/satellite interface for 11 years. He also set up launch capabilities for microsatellites.
In 1994, Loire joined the company’s Customer Service department. After seven years working on a number of different sales and marketing initiatives, he was named head of this department in 2002.
Until his latest appointment as head of Arianespace’s French Guiana facilities in April 2010, Patrick Loire was the Vice President of Customer Service.
