Starsem, the Arianespace-affiliate, notched its 25th successful Soyuz mission in a row launching Metop-B from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on September 17th. The milestone flight illustrates the Samara Space Center’s (TsSKB-Progress) world class production capabilities working in partnership with the Russian space agency Roscosmos.

Hispasat has signed a contract with Arianespace for the launch of Amazonas-4A and Hispasat AG1, which will bring high-quality multimedia and TV services to millions of people across South America and the Iberian Peninsula including the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games. The spacecraft are the 8th and 9th Hispasat missions entrusted to Arianespace, who has had 100% mission success on the previous launches.

On May 15 Arianespace made history with its heavy lift Ariane 5 rocket successfully placing JCSAT-13 and VINASAT-2 into orbit from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.
