The latest Annual Report highlights Arianespace’s busy commercial activity in 2013, during which the company expanded its order book backlog with 20 new contract wins – including 15 for geostationary satellites to be orbited by Ariane 5, four dedicated Vega flights and one auxiliary payload that will be lofted by the lightweight Vega vehicle.
Underscoring its leadership position in the commercial launch market, Arianespace performed four missions with the workhorse Ariane 5 – carrying six telecommunications satellites, plus Europe’s fourth Automated Transfer Vehicle for servicing of the International Space Station. Rounding out Arianespace’s 2013 activity from the Spaceport in French Guiana were two Soyuz flights and one with Vega.
The Annual Report also features a message from Chairman & CEO Stéphane Israël, a review of Arianespace’s program activities, a company outlook and more.
