SUPPORT CONTRACT IS SIGNED FOR VEGA'S FIRST LAUNCH CAMPAIGN

The support contract for Vega’s qualification campaign and combined testing was signed in Rome by Arianespace Chairman & CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall (right) and Markus Bertschi, Launcher Programmes Department Head at the European Space Agency. Testing will begin at the Spaceport in April in preparation for Vega’s service entry toward the end of 2010. |

Arianespace signs Service & Solutions contract for Hispasat 1E

The launch agreement for Hispasat 1E is marked by Arianespace Chairman & CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall and Petra Mateos-Aparicio, the Chairman of Hispasat. It is the first contract signed by Arianespace in 2009. Hispasat 1E will be lofted by an Ariane 5 in 2010, and is a Space Systems/Loral-built satellite designed to give Hispasat additional capacity – enabling the Spanish operator to offer a broader range of video and data transmission services with European and pan-American coverage. |

Arianespace orders 35 Ariane 5 ECA versions

Arianespace Chairman & CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall (at right) and Astrium Space Transportation CEO Alain Charmeau sign an agreement for 35 Ariane 5 ECA launchers during a ceremony in Paris. This agreement – worth more than 4 billion euros – brings the total number of Ariane 5 launch vehicles under production to 49, and guarantees the long-term availability of Arianespace’s Service & Solutions offer, which is complemented by the Vega and Soyuz launchers. |

Arianespace signs contract with Russian space agency for 10 Soyuz launchers

Arianespace Chairman & CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall and Anatoly Perminov, General Director of the Russian space agency Roskosmos, shake hands after the contract signature for 10 Soyuz ST launch vehicles, which are to be used from the Spaceport in French Guiana or the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan beginning in 2009. This contract was signed September 20 in Sochi, Russia during a French-Russian governmental seminar attended by French Prime Minister François Fillon and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. |
